High-risk criminal group hit in Vlora, 6 arrested; perpetrator of Kevi

A criminal group with high social risk was hit by the Vlora Police as part of a coded operation conducted on Monday evening in the village of Vranisht.

As a result of the operation, six people were arrested, including the suspected perpetrator of the injury of 27-year-old Kevi Lazaj, an event that occurred on June 7 in Vlora, as well as a person declared internationally wanted by the Italian authorities.

Florian Shala alias Florian Alliaj, Neritan Dalipaj alias Neritan Qejvanaj, Miço Beqaraj and Aleksandër Dula alias Aleksandër Thomai alias Ilir Dula were arrested in a bar in Vranisht. The latter is internationally wanted by Italy, after the Court of Appeal in Lecce sentenced him in 2024 to 6 years and 8 months in prison for drug trafficking and participation in a criminal organization.

Also arrested during the operation were Turi Aligjoni, suspected of being the perpetrator of Kevi Lazaj's injury, and Dritan Çelaj, both nationally wanted for the criminal offenses of "Intentional serious injury", "Unauthorized possession of weapons", "Supporting the perpetrator of the crime" and "Production and sale of narcotics".

The police seized four firearms, pistols of the brands "Glock", "Sig Sauer" and "Canik", combat ammunition, seven mobile phones, 1,850 euros, as well as three vehicles, two of which had foreign license plates. One of the seized vehicles was armored.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that a "BMW X5" vehicle, seized during the operation, was used by Turi Aligjoni to flee the scene after Kevi Lazaj was shot.
