Sentenced to 2 years in prison, the Albanian is wanted in Greece
In the Jury Court of Volos, a case was tried from Larisa for a citizen of Albanian origin, 38 years old, resident in Elassona, for attempted serious injury and violation of the law on weapons.
Everything happened on April 25, 2023, in a village of Elassona, when two friends, of the same age, were having fun in a cafe. A verbal conflict "exploded" between them about a woman, and as a result one of them took out a knife and wounded the other on the three fingers of his left hand.
The customers immediately called the police and one ended up in the hospital and the other in the detention center. The accused is married and the father of two minor daughters. He failed to appear in court and faces deportation for entering the country illegally.
The Joint Jury changed the charge of dangerous bodily injury to a misdemeanor and sentenced him to a total of 2 years and 9 months in prison and a fine of 300 euros. The 38-year-old was sentenced in absentia and an arrest warrant was issued for him, so that if found, he would be immediately sent to prison.
