Wanted by Interpol Tirana, the Albanian is arrested in Janina

An Albanian citizen declared internationally wanted was arrested by the Greek police in Ioannina.

The Albanian was detained yesterday morning, according to official sources.

During the police check, it was discovered that he had an international search warrant from the Albanian authorities for the criminal offense of "not reporting a crime" which provides a maximum sentence of 3 years in prison.

The file in his charge was passed to the Prosecutor's Office for the initiation of extradition procedures.
