Albania has received two medals at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Wrestler Islam Dudaev won the bronze medal for the weight up to 65 kg, against the Hungarian Iszmail Muszukajev, with the result 13-12.

Wrestler Chermen Valiev also received a bronze medal after defeating Viktor Rassad, from Tajikistan, in the freestyle for the weight up to 74 kg.

He managed to give Albania the first medal in the history of our country's participation in recent years, in a competition of such importance.

A historic event for Albanian sport, after 52 years of participation in the Olympic Games, Albania finally has the first two medals, except that the two bronze medals come from naturalized Albanian athletes, but who are originally from the autonomous republics of the Russian Federation .

But these victories were sold very well by Albanian politics, mainly by Prime Minister Edi Rama and Mayor Erion Veliaj, as a great victory.

This thing has not escaped the eye of the journalist, Ylli Dylgjerit, who in a post on Facebook shared a photo of wrestler Chermen Valiev, next to whom is the mayor Erion Veliaj.
