Three Albanians have been arrested during an anti-drug operation in Italy, where police discovered a large quantity of cocaine of 172 kilograms. According to Italian media, the operation took place in Bologna and Modena, following an investigation that led to their arrest on February 6 near an industrial area in Rubiera.

The arrested are two Albanian brothers, a boy born in 1997 and a girl born in 2004, as well as another accomplice, born in 1982, all without criminal records.

Police observed a stopped truck, from which the driver carefully handed a heavy yellow envelope to two young Albanians. At that moment, law enforcement intervened, arresting all three and seizing the truck, where the large drug load was discovered.

The striking detail is that some of the cocaine packages bore the logo of the Tirana football club, while others had a cockroach, the flags of Brazil and Portugal printed on them. Police experts explain that the different identifying marks are used by trafficking networks to divide the drugs between different criminal groups.

The operation is considered a significant blow to drug trafficking, while investigations to uncover the origin and destination of the narcotics are ongoing.
