The General Director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, has resigned.

It is learned that this decision was announced a day before the meeting of the Minister of the Interior Ervin Hoxha with the police leaders in the districts and departments, while the reasons for the departure are still unknown. 

It is known that until the election of the new head of the Police, the position will be held by the deputy director Sokol Bizhga, as the decision can be communicated the next day by Minister Hoxha. 

We remind you that Rrumbullaku took the important task on September 7, 2022, when the Ministry of the Interior was headed by Bledi Çuçi.
