1 ton of cocaine was seized in the Port of Valencia, 3 Albanians were arrested
Internal Affairs agents of the Civil Guard in Spain have arrested Jesús Fernández Bolaño, a former head of the Armed Institute in the Port of Valencia, involved in a major drug trafficking operation. This joint operation with the National Police led to the discovery and seizure of a ton of cocaine that had been brought in through the port.
Bolaño, who has been a lieutenant of the Civil Guard's Office of Fiscal Analysis and Investigation since 2012, was arrested for his role in a drug trafficking network. Together with him, 6 other people were arrested, including three Spanish citizens and three Albanians, raising doubts about the strong connections of the "Balkan cartel" in international drug trafficking.
The operation, which has chosen a one-year period of investigation, has also revealed an unjustified rich standard of living on the part of Bolaño, raising doubts about his criminal activities and the source of his wealth.
