European Union representatives stressed at the Munich Security Conference that the Western Balkans’ EU membership will be accelerated, considering the achievement of criteria and merit. EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, said today in a panel discussion during this conference, that in addition to the required standards, geopolitics and the will of the member states also have an important impact on new memberships.
