Cars, rolex and cocaine seized, Albanian criminal group destroyed in Belgium, 18 arrested

A criminal group where Albanians are at its core, as is often the case, was destroyed this Tuesday in Belgium.

Police carried out 21 checks in Liège, Seraing, Saint-Nicolas, Grâce-Hollogne, Jemeppe, Verviers, Marche-en-Famenne, Houffalize and Morlanëlz, putting 18 people behind bars.

According to foreign media, the group is suspected to be related to the cocaine and cannabis traffic, and over 160 police officers participated in the operation.

The Public Prosecutor of Liège stated: This operation was carried out with the support of the special units of the federal police, the PJFs of Luxembourg and Charleroi, the police areas of Ans/St Nicolas, Grâce-Hollogne/Aëans, Famenne-Ardennes, the federal management units general. of the administrative police (dog support and security management/DAS) and the Liège Coordinating Directorate (CIK) services. The action made it possible to confirm the existence of a well-organized cocaine and cannabis traffic in a period of at least four years.

The organization, which used Sky ECC encrypted mobile phones until March 2021, continued its activities throughout Liège and Luxembourg.

The police seized:

- 800 grams of cocaine and cutting products packed in a crate
