"Mini-Schengen" / Rama, Zaev and Vucic two-day meeting in Skopje; agenda
Prime Minister Edi Rama, Macedonian counterpart Zoran Zaev and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will meet today and tomorrow in Skopje. The meeting is part of the "Mini-Schengen" initiative.
We recall that this initiative, which in early October 2019, was considered by Rama as a tool to strengthen cooperation in the region, has also met with much criticism in our country.
The leaders are also expected to participate in the Economic Forum for Regional Cooperation organized by the Chambers of Commerce of the Republic of Albania, Northern Macedonia and Serbia. Tomorrow at 09.00 in "Hotel Alexander Palace" in Skopje will be held an economic forum.
According to the leaders of the region, "Mini-Schengen" has as its main goal the creation of a common regional market, which, as a transitional form, should bring the region closer to the European Union and accelerate the path to membership.
Meetings within this initiative took place a few weeks ago in Ohrid. Rama, Vucic and Zaev also held virtual meetings.
