Muhamet Rrumbullaku officially leaves the Police Department

The General Director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, officially handed over his duties today.

Rrumbullaku emphasized that this moment marks the end of a cycle with the "holy police uniform" for him.

Dear employees of the State Police,

Closing the engagement in the high state office of the General Director of the State Police is the best moment to address all of you with a heartfelt thank you for the joint efforts and achievements in these two years.

I am filled with the obligation to greet and thank you all one by one, to shake your hands with the greatest humility for your continued sacrifice, every year, every month of the year, every day of the month and every hour day and night.

The will and honesty in fulfilling the duty of the police officers, which I had the good fortune to live with you for over 3 decades, has produced order and security in Albania. Today our country records the best security indicators it has ever had, thanks to a continuous progress of the State Police and the help and significant support from the Ministry of Interior and the Government, from International Partners and Law Enforcement Agencies and obviously, thanks to the cooperation come with the citizens.

Today, the State Police is not a perfect institution without problems, but undoubtedly the increase of citizens' trust in blue uniforms, the increased trust of the community of law enforcement agencies, inside and outside the country, and indicators of criminality and the state of security in the country testify that the Police Organization should be proud of its results.

What we achieved together, guaranteeing security, order and cracking down on criminality, as Albania turned into a previously unthought-of and unanticipated tourist destination, is a valuable legacy, which I am convinced you will know how to carry forward all together.

The voluminous and missing for years competition process for earning ranks, implemented in an impartial and transparent manner, according to the principle of merit and non-discrimination, created equal chances for State Police employees to be part of the competitive and selection processes, regulated according to the new law.

The vision and contributions for the new law of the State Police, where a modern and contemporary management of the organization is outlined; accreditation and international standardization of higher police education; "zero tolerance" to anyone in our ranks who betrays the uniform and collaborates with crime, have been our priorities during these past 735 days, which today we can say we have fulfilled all together.

Leaving the office of the General Director of the State Police is for me also the moment of closing a cycle with the sacred uniform of the police officer, for which 228 colleagues, mothers, parents have given their lives in the line of duty. , husbands, brothers, companions and friends, who will never be forgotten.

Their blood and the sacrifices that police officers make every second should be an engine that produces inexhaustible energy for everyone, aiming at preventing and cracking down on crime and guaranteeing security order in the country. Regardless of any confrontation, you should always be proud of this sacrifice.

With the National Flag and State Police Flag always by my side, I assure you that I will be your main supporter at all times and circumstances.
