From Bushati to the ex-wife of Çuçi, Begaj decrees five new ambassadors of Albania

President Bajram Begaj has decreed the release from duty of several ambassadors who represent Albania abroad, as well as the government's proposals for new ambassadors to the USA, Germany, Montenegro, Turkey and the Netherlands.

 Among the new diplomats are Ervin Bushati, who will replace Floreta Faber as ambassador to the United States of America.

Likewise, in Montenegro, Zhaklina Peto, the lawyer also known as the ex-wife of Bledi Çuçi, who was dismissed from office only two days ago, is appointed.

The President of the Republic, in implementation of his constitutional and legal powers, based on Article 92, letter "dh", Article 93 of the Constitution, as well as Article 26, point 2 of Law no. 23/2015, "For the foreign service of the Republic of Albania" at the proposal of the Prime Minister, decreed the dismissals and appointments of Ambassadors as follows:

1. Released by Decree no. 103 dated 10.7.2023 Mr. Ridi Kurtezi from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania in Montenegro, resident.

2. Released by Decree no. 104 dated 10.7.2023 Mr. Artur Kuko from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Federal Republic of Germany, resident.

3. Released by Decree no. 105 dated 10.7.2023 Mr. Kastriot Robo from the office of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Turkey, resident, and from the office of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Azerbaijan, to the Islamic Republic of Iran, to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in Georgia, in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and in the Republic of Kazakhstan, non-resident.

4. Released by Decree no. 106 date 10.7.2023 Ms. Floreta Faber from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the United States of America, resident, and from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the United States of Mexico, the Republic of Panama, the Dominican Republic, Republic of Guatemala and in the Republic of Costa Rica, non-resident.

5. Released by Decree no. 107 date 10.7.2023 Ms. Adia Sakiqi from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, resident, and from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCË), non-resident.

8. Emërohet me Dekret nr. 110 datë 10.7.2023 znj. Blerta Kadzadej, Ambasador i Jashtëzakonshëm dhe Fuqiplotë i Republikës së Shqipërisë në Republikën e Turqisë, rezident, dhe Ambasador i Jashtëzakonshëm dhe Fuqiplotë i Republikës së Shqipërisë në Republikën e Azerbajxhanit, në Republikën e Kirgistanit, në Republikën Islamike të Pakistanit, në Gjeorgji, në Republikën Islamike të Afganistanit dhe në Republikën e Kazakistanit, jorezident.
