Educator: Trump's campaign, great growth towards the Albanian community in Michigan
The Albanian teacher in Michigan, Altin Zaloshnja, said in the Balkan Talks show on Euronews Albania that the vote of the Albanians in this country will save Donald Trump. Zaloshnja said that Michigan is a state that has traditionally voted for Democrats, Trump was the first in 2016 to break this.
He pointed out that Trump's campaign has focused on a large Muslim community in a county that also has an Albanian community that appears to support the former president.
"Michigan is a state that has traditionally voted for Democrats, Trump was the first in 2016 to break that. There is a tradition of voting Republican in this state and that tradition became very strong under President Reagan, the county I live in is the base of the so-called Reagan Democrats who work mostly in the auto industry and these although they were union members , because of the appeal made by President Reagan, they started voting on the side of the Republicans.
In 2016, Trump was defeated by 10,000 votes in Michigan, only in this county he managed to win by 40,000 votes. There is a very large community here that comes from the Middle East and because of events they have been unhappy with Biden's policies, Trump is campaigning intensively to reach this community.
Trump's campaign has a very large increase towards the Albanian community, especially in the religious centers in 2 churches, both of these communities have been affected by Trump's campaign, the Democrats have not done the same. Anyway, in these states it is a big question mark" , he said.
