The Sector for the Investigation of Cybercrimes in DVP Tirana during the continuous monitoring of open sources of information and virtual platforms, in order to highlight illegal activities mainly in the field of cybercrimes, has found disguised messages like those of the company Meta Platforms, towards phone numbers, for confirming data on the Facebook social network, related to the Facebook Ads service, (but not only).
These messages claim to verify Facebook accounts or else the account will be closed.
Fraudulent messages are aimed at directing account holders towards fraudulent links with the aim of taking possession of the accounts of defrauded persons, in an unfair manner.
The Sector for the Investigation of Cybercrimes in DVP Tirana calls on you, if you are or suspect that you may be affected by the sending of these messages, to come to our offices, and advises you not to take any action against these messages, which may come from mostly foreign numbers.
