The parent denounces the teacher in Tirana: She bullies my son, he has anxiety

This evening, Fiksi addressed a parent's complaint about his child being bullied by the Italian teacher. The child is in the 6th grade at the "Osman Mydezini" school in the capital.

The student's mother says that her child is anxious every time he has Italian at school and this is a result of the teacher who teaches this subject. According to the parent, everything started when the teacher Marsela Dina once heard the whistleblower telling her son to change his shirt in the school yard.

"She mentioned this situation to the boy that same day in class, telling him in front of the class that you can't learn with the mother you have," explains the whistleblower. A day later, she claims that the teacher tore up her son's workbook in the middle of the class. "These situations have affected the boy and every time he has Italian, he will not go to school, finding 1001 reasons in the morning," claims the parent.

But this is not the first complaint about this teacher. Fiksi reveals that other parents have also raised concerns about the behavior of teacher Marsela Dina. They have even filed a complaint about her in the Co-Government office for the psychological violence that this teacher inflicts on the students. In the complaints, they have also aggravated the ignorance that the teacher did to them when the Council of Ethics and the Discipline Commission met, ignoring and not implementing the rights and obligations defined by the Law on Pre-University Education. The complaint closes with the sentence "Psychological violence and the pressure that the teacher exerts on children should have ZERO tolerance and we really hope for your reaction".

The parents have also filed a complaint with the ZVA. The school itself has also taken measures where one of the decisions of the Ethics and Discipline Commission is "warning for dismissal".

Even in the meeting that the whistleblower had with the school psychologist, the latter admits that the teacher is problematic. According to the school psychologist, her son is not the only student who has encountered the teacher's psychological violence. There are even children who have left school because of it. The parent has also met the guardian teacher about this problem, but the latter refuses to deal with the Italian teacher. During this meeting, the Italian teacher Marsela Dina also takes part, who denies having mentioned the student's mother, but admits that she tore up her notebook. He refuses to give the reason why he tore it, running away and leaving the parent without an answer.

After that, the journalists of Fiks went to the 9-year-old school "Osman Mydezini" where they first meet the school psychologist. She explains that the teacher has always had problems with the children and not only. Psychology explains that the teacher has not found a way to cooperate even with her colleagues. She herself has even referred it several times and the Ethics and Discipline Commission has taken measures. Plus, from the side of the school, the ZVA as well as the Ministry of Education have been informed about the case, but even though they have been called and advised, the same problems continue, says the psychologist for Fiksin.

Fiksi also wants to meet the Italian teacher Marsela Dina where they wait for her for more than 4 hours, as the teacher had her child with her. She asks the journalists to conduct the interview at her home, as there were also files with the decisions that had been made. According to teacher Dina, she has a decision that is discriminated against by her colleagues and the principal, a decision made by the Discrimination Commission. The teacher Marsela Dina says that she conducted the lesson within the rules and that she did not tear the child's entire notebook, but only the pages where the student wrote about other subjects in the Italian notebook. The teacher denies that she has problems with the students, but she does not deny that she has problems with her colleagues. According to her, this started 4 years ago when she asked to teach only the first 4 hours, as it helps her child with disabilities. "For my colleagues, the issue of the schedule has not been seen favorably and they give these reasons, but I have not had any problems with the children," says teacher Dina.

Fiksi also saw the decision of the Discrimination Commission, which states that there is no discrimination for this teacher and recommends the school to take some measures in order to prevent any behavior that incites it. In points 1 and 4 of this decision, the teacher's claims of discrimination are rejected.
