Protest in front of Tirana City Hall, the police arrest the citizen, 3 others

The police of Tirana have arrested a 38-year-old man as the author of throwing Molotov cocktails during the opposition rally in front of the Tirana City Hall.

Elton Vokrri, a resident of Kurbin, was put in handcuffs. The latter has shot Molotov cocktails at the Municipality of Tirana in previous protests as well.

Thus, three other persons were prosecuted in a free state, namely the citizens with the initials KB, 21 years old, SJ, 41 years old, both residents of Tirana, and SB, 49 years old, residents of Krujë.

The Local Directorate of the Tirana Police, in relation to the violent acts carried out during the protest held on 21.05.2024, in front of the Tirana Municipality, by the Alliance for the Protection of the Theatre, following investigative and procedural actions and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of The First Degree of the General Jurisdiction Tirana, stopped the citizen:

- EV, 38 years old, resident of Kurbin, for the criminal offenses "Disturbance of public peace", "Breach of rules on explosives and incendiary substances", "Destruction of property by fire", and "Assaults due to duty". This citizen was also detained on May 16, in connection with the protest of May 14, 2024.

Citizens KB, 21 years old, SJ, 41 years old, both residents of Tirana, and SB, 49 years old, residents of Krujë, were also processed in a free state.
