Top Channel journalist Anila Hoxha has revealed details regarding the arrest of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj, on the orders of SPAK.

Invited to Top Story, Hoxha reveals that at the moment the BKH agents arrived at the Municipality premises, Veliaj was in a meeting with his associates, and after it was over, he was informed of the charges and was familiarized with the file.

"Erion Veliaj, at the moment the BKH arrived at the municipality, was in a close meeting with his associates, in his office. The BKH agents waited until the meeting ended and immediately spoke with him and made the file available to him ," the journalist stated.

Meanwhile, she added that two municipal officials reacted to the agents, demanding explanations, but Veliaj intervened, demanding that they do their job.

"There was some kind of reaction from two municipal officials, who asked for explanations as to why the investigators were there, and Veliaj intervened. He responded and asked them to 'let them do their job ,'" says Hoxha.

"Then he got into his car, inside which there were officers, and then they did not take him to the premises of the Tirana police directorate, because the mass communication in his office had been exhausted, and he was immediately escorted to the security block ," she said.
