This Thursday, November 26, the work in the Albanian Parliament resumes.
Last week, the scheduled hearing was canceled due to new measures taken by the Technical Committee of Experts, thanks to the prevention of the spread of Covid-19.
The new decision provided that:
1. Prohibit gatherings with more than 10 people in open and closed places.
2. Prohibit party meetings and gatherings.
Conferences, holiday ceremonies, wedding ceremonies, and extra-family funeral arrangements, up to a second order.
In such conditions, the Assembly was also 'affected', so it canceled the session of the week that went in anticipation of a second order from the Ministry of Health.
Politiko.al provides this order with the signature of the Deputy Minister of Health, Mira Rakacolli, which provides for the resumption of hearings. According to this decision, the order "On the prohibition of gatherings in closed or open places" does not affect the activity of the Assembly for the conduct of plenary sessions.
Meanwhile, a day earlier, the same Committee confirmed the closure of universities for at least another month.
On the other hand, hospitals are facing an increasing number of cases with covid-19 as well as loss of lives.
Today alone (November 24), 19 victims and 744 infected were recorded in the last 24 hours.
There are still no details on the manner of conducting the plenary session, but in the announcement of the head of the Assembly in one of the points it is stated that 'the secretary general is in charge of taking measures to prevent the spread of the infection in the plenary sessions.
