Increasing the price of bread, the Competition Commission decides not to impose fines on 5 companies

The Competition Commission has decided to exempt from fines five companies operating in the market of wheat import, production and trade of flour, after the increase in the price of bread.

With 2 votes in favor and 3 against, the proposal of the Secretariat for imposing fines on the companies AgroBlend, Miell Tirana, Bloja and Atlas Mills was not approved.

The members who voted against the fine are: Leida Matja, Adriana Berberi and Denar Biba.

Competition Commission in the meeting of 29.09.2021, regarding the decision “For imposing fines on the enterprises AgroBlend SHPK, Miell Tirana JSC, Bloja JSC and Atlas Mills LLC for non-implementation of the obligations set by VKK no. 700, dated 24.07.2020 ”, in a vote 2 for and 3 against, did not approve the proposal of the Secretariat for imposing fines on enterprises operating in the market of wheat import, import, production and trade of flour.
