Ilirjan Cellibashi, head of the CEC, has stated that there is no need to request additional funds for the recount of votes in Fier and Tirana.

Asked how much the recount process will cost, Celibashi said that they have saved lek from the fund that was given for the May 11 elections.

"We will not commit any additional funds, the CEC will not request additional funds for this process, we have saved funds from the external voting process, from the contract we have with the postal service operator and other aspects of this process and the electoral process as a whole. From a preliminary assessment, we will not need additional funds for this process," said Celibashi.
