Democratic Senator Bernie Sanders: The people are saying NO to the global

Renowned American Democratic Senator Bernie Sanders has publicly reacted to the protests against the planned tourism project in the Zvërnec area, calling it an example of "global oligarchy".

Through a post on the social network X, Sanders referred to the protests held in Albania against the luxury resort linked to Jared Kushner and his Qatari partners.

In his response, Sanders writes:

“In tiny Albania, over a hundred thousand people have taken to the streets against an environmentally destructive luxury resort planned by Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and his billionaire partners from Qatar. This is what global oligarchy looks like, and the people are saying NO. ”

The American senator accompanied the post with a photo from the protests, emphasizing the civic opposition to the project that has sparked strong debates in Albania about its potential impact on the environment and protected natural areas.
