In an increasingly global society, the field of philanthropy is transforming from a traditional elite act into a more tangible and inclusive mechanism, where individuals and communities have more space to contribute or directly influence the solution of social challenges and not only. This change reflects the awakening of collective awareness, to mobilize the necessary resources such as NGOs or even state instances, private entities, and even individual initiatives, to thus build bridges of communication and solidarity that are increasingly impactful in a community. Now, through digital spaces, this entire mechanism also comes as a shift towards a new, more transparent culture of donation and civic engagement, where technology helps to increase awareness, encourages active participation of society for causes of public importance, not only through individual benefits. In this context, Albania has also gradually begun to position itself on the map of this global trend, although it has always enjoyed the status of a country that possesses a cultural heritage of humanism and generosity.

Reflecting on the orientation of human values and means in coherence with the trends of the time, one of the most consolidated and impactful initiatives in Albania is the SMILE platform. Founded 5 years ago, as an ambitious initiative of the Credins foundation, the SMILE online platform has now positioned itself as an important digital instrument that professionally mediates the connection between citizens, organizations and institutional actors, thus counting numerous concrete, successful contributions to causes that help and develop the local community in many dimensions.

The philosophy of the founders of SMILE is the integration of a sustainable solidarity ecosystem, where helping others is not only an act of moral obligation, but above all a high form of evidence of building a fairer, more equal and more respected social/human capital. With a design infrastructure that allows for very easy online access and continuous monitoring, SMILE promotes areas such as: cultural heritage, environment, education, sports, health, innovative and social entrepreneurship, thus making this platform unique in Albania.

Në 5 vite përkushtimi absolut, është punuar intensivisht për tëfinalizuar projekte të rëndësishme, me vlerë për zhvillimin e komunitetit. Përgjatë viteve, janë hapur/çelur 5 thirrje, 96 projekte janë paraqitur nga organizata të ndryshme, nga të cilat49 janë lançuar në platformën SMILE, duke treguar edhe njëherë dëshirën dhe seriozitetin për të bërë të mundur realizimin e kauzave shoqërore. Përmes platformës SMILE dhe shpirtit fisniktë çdo dhuruesi/donatori në nivel institucional apo edheindividual, janë mbështetur dhe realizuar me sukses të matshëm36 projekte me karakter social dhe jo vetëm, duke sjellë kështundryshim të prekshëm në jetën e shumë individëve, familjeveshqiptare që shpesh jetojnë në kufijtë e harresës.

Jehona dhe popullariteti i platformës online SMILE janë rezultati një pune të palodhur, i një komunikimi profesional, të ndërtuarmbi besimin, autenticitetin dhe transparencën, duke e kthyer atëtashmë në një pikë referimi të rëndësishme të çdo kauze jetikenë Shqipëri. Përmes faqes zyrtare www.smile.al, fondet e mbledhura kanalizohen në projekte konkrete të zbatuara ngaorganizata me eksperiencë dhe histori suksesi, duke shfrytëzuarpotencialin transformues të modelit crowdfunding.

Në 5 vite, mbi 1800 dhurime të realizuara përkthehen sot në mbi114,000 përfitues të drejtpërdrejtë, individë dhe familje që kanëndier konkretisht prekjen njerëzore të solidaritetit dhehumanizmit. Pas këtyre shifrave jetësohen histori të shumtanjerëzore, që dëshmojnë edhe një herë fuqinë dhe ndikimin e platformës SMILE. Në themel të këtij suksesi qëndrojnësigurisht dhuruesit e një kombi me rrënjë fisnike – shqiptarët, kusolidariteti është një gjen traditë i lashtë në identitetin historiko-kulturor.

SMILE është tashmë një urë digjitale/teknologjike që lidh mijëraindividë të angazhuar në çdo vend të botës, me mbi 220,000 përdorues aktivë përgjatë këtyre viteve, të cilët jo vetëm qëvizitojnë platformën, por gjithashtu kontribuojnë përmbështetjen e kauzave shoqërore. Në datën 01 Maj u hap/çelthirrja e 5-të, si mundësi mjaft e mirë për të gjitha organizatatjofitimprurëse që operojnë në Shqipëri, të aplikojnë tashmëpërmes SMILE për një gamë të gjerë fushash të përcaktuarasipas politikave të platformës.

Today, SMILE considers every Albanian a powerful voice, calling on them to contribute through a very simple online procedure and no more than 1 minute in duration.
