SPAK demands 12 years in prison for the former driver of Ardi Veli
The Special Prosecutor's Office has announced the claim for the former driver of Ardi Veli, Sokol Idrizaj and other defendants of a criminal group who are accused of smuggling goods, not declaring income, money laundering and exercising financial activities without a license.
SPAK requested 12 years of imprisonment for Sokol Idrizaj, the same for his wife Elda Idrizaj, 10 for his son Egi Idrizaj and 6 years for the couple's other daughter Bora Idrizaj. If this claim is approved by GJKKO, the defendants would benefit from a reduction of 1/3 of the sentence due to the summary trial. Due to the shortened trial, the sentence is reduced to 8 years.
In May last year, Sokol Idrizaj, his wife and the couple's two daughters were charged by SPAK
They are suspected of having transported stolen and valuable items from the French state to Albania, where they were sold secretly and smuggled through the jeweler of the citizen Vangjush Kashara, who has the central store in Tirana.
