SPAK closes the investigations on the "Partizani" file, sends the case

The Special Prosecutor's Office has closed the investigations for the 'Partizani' file, thanks to which the head of the PD, Sali Berisha and his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi, the businessmen Fatmir Bektashi and Xhimi Begeja and the notary Andia Pustina are accused, taking the request to the GJKKO of starting the trial.

It is learned that the representatives of the prosecution Arben Kraja and Enkeleda Millonai submitted the material to the court on Tuesday, October 15, as the latter is expected to draw lots to appoint the panel where the name of Irena Gjoka is not included in the list of 10 judges.

The latter has been a judicial body since October of last year where it also approved security measures, while the law stipulates that it should no longer be part of the process.

We remind you that Berisha has been investigated under the security measure of house arrest, for the criminal offense of corruption together with his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, who is accused by SPAK of having received income in the amount of 5.4 million euros from a construction business in a way irregularly thanks to government decisions made by his father-in-law.

Both Berisha and Malltezi have opposed the accusations and described the investigation as orchestrated by Prime Minister Edi Rama. Also, Berisha and his supporters have described this measure as an attempt to annihilate the opposition.
