An incident occurred in Librazhd, where a 32-year-old man attempted to burn his neighbor with gasoline after a conflict over weak motives.

The perpetrator, a citizen with the initials GO, has been arrested by the police, while his neighbor, a 75-year-old citizen with the initials SO, is in hospital after suffering burns.

"He tried to kill his neighbor by burning him with gasoline, during a conflict for weak motives. The perpetrator was arrested immediately after the incident."

Immediately after receiving the notification that citizen SO, 75 years old, suspected of being burned with fuel, had gone to Prrenjas Hospital for treatment, the Police Services carried out investigative and operational actions to clarify the circumstances of the case and identify and apprehend the perpetrator.

As a result of quick actions, citizen GO, 32 years old, was identified, captured and arrested in flagrante delicto.

The investigative actions result in the conclusion that, during a conflict for weak motives, the 32-year-old is suspected of having poured gasoline outside the 75-year-old's apartment and then set it on fire, resulting in the injury of citizen SO, 75, who is currently under medical care.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Elbasan Court of General Jurisdiction, for further action," the police statement said.
