Caught red-handed during an attempt to give a young man a package with about 1 kg of cocaine, two people were arrested in Tirana.

The police announced the search for the 23-year-old who would take the cocaine, while S. Gj., 54 years old, resident of Maminas, Durrës, and AC, 42 years old, resident of Shijak, were arrested.

 "Specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Section of DVP Tirana, following the work to identify and attack criminal activities in the field of production and distribution of narcotics, after a real investigative work, based on the data collected on the operative route , organized and finalized the coded police operation "Hit Pack", as a result of which citizens were caught and arrested red-handed:

- S. Gj., 54 years old, resident of Maminas, Durrës and AC, 42 years old, resident of Shijak.

Also, citizen S. Gj., 23 years old, was declared wanted.

The Police Services have identified, in Marikaj, the arrested citizens S. Gj. and AC, giving the package with about 1 kg and 30 grams of suspected narcotic cocaine, to the 23-year-old who just noticed the Police services, ran away.

As material evidence, the package with 1 kg and 30 grams of the suspected narcotic substance cocaine, 2 vehicles, a mechanical scale, a mobile device and sums of money suspected to have benefited from this criminal activity were seized.

"The work continues for the capture of the 23-year-old and the identification of other persons involved in this criminal activity," the police announced.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Tirana Judicial District Court for further action.
