The diaspora vote has sparked much controversy, debate and discussion. The manipulation that is reportedly being done to the diaspora is particularly acute in Greece, where the Socialist Party itself insists that the envelopes not be separated.

The process of counting the votes of Albanians in the diaspora, for the May 11 elections in Albania, has revealed an alarming figure.

 About 43 thousand ballots were counted, while only 42 thousand voters from the diaspora were officially registered in this country.

This blatant discrepancy raises serious suspicions of manipulation of the result and casts a serious shadow over the credibility of the electoral process.

We recall that the same situation has occurred with the diaspora of the Kukës Region. The CEC has placed 2902 numbered envelopes out of a total of 2896 envelopes.
