Walker emphasized that, although he is not a historian of the region, he had the opportunity to get to know the reality of the two states more deeply thanks to his cooperation with the then Prime Minister, Sali Berisha. He emphasized that the meeting and Berisha's invitation to participate in the opening of the Kalimash Tunnel was an impressive event that brought together the people of Kosovo and Albania.

In his speech, Walker also spoke about the “real battle” that the two states will face during the parliamentary elections, emphasizing that this is an important period for both countries. Furthermore, he expressed his satisfaction for the opportunity he had to be present at such a historic moment, emphasizing that it is a special honor to be with the people of Kavaja, and at a moment when Berisha is a candidate for prime minister in the upcoming elections.
