The cyber security expert, Mentor Hoxhaj, has raised suspicions that a fraud scheme is operating in Pristina, which he calls a "pyramid scheme".

Hoxhaj said that different people enter a scheme, invest in it and try to attract third parties to benefit from them.


"I suspect that we have a fraudulent scheme in Pristina, workshops are held to promote a form of profit, which for me is a pure pyramid scheme. For example, I enter a scheme, invest in it and introduce other people, they invest, I get profit from them. They are holding workshops training people how to include third parties" , Hoxhaj stated, for RTV Dukagjini.

Hoxhaj said that cryptocurrency fraud is flourishing. According to him, most of the victims are Kosovar citizens, who, according to him, are copycats of international fraudsters.

"Actually, cryptocurrency fraud is flourishing, international fraud where many victims are Kosovar citizens, we have copycats of international fraudsters, citizens are deceived with extremely attractive offers to invest in cryptocurrency" , he continued.
