Voting begins at Kosovo's diplomatic missions around the world

The Central Election Commission held the first conference on the voting process in diplomatic missions of the Republic of Kosovo.

At this conference, CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi announced that by this time, according to local time, voting centers in diplomatic missions in European countries have opened, while voting in diplomatic missions in the USA and Canada will begin later.

The diplomatic missions in which the voting process began at 07:00, according to local time in Kosovo, are: Germany (Berlin – embassy; Frankfurt – consulate; Düsseldorf – consulate; Munich – consulate; Stuttgart – consulate; Hamburg – consulate); Switzerland (Bern – embassy; Geneva – consulate; Zurich – consulate); United Kingdom (London – embassy); Belgium (Brussels – embassy); Austria (Vienna – embassy); France (Paris – embassy; Strasbourg – consulate); Italy (Rome – embassy; Milan – consulate); Turkey (Istanbul – consulate); Norway (Oslo – embassy); Slovenia (Ljubljana – embassy); Sweden (Stockholm – embassy); Denmark (Copenhagen – consulate); Croatia (Zagreb – embassy); Netherlands (The Hague – embassy); Czech Republic (Prague – embassy); Hungary (Budapest – embassy); and North Macedonia (Skopje – embassy).

The voting process in the USA (Washington – embassy; New York – consulate) and in Canada (Ottawa – embassy; Toronto – consulate) will begin at 1:00 PM local time in Kosovo.

In general, voting will take place in 43 polling stations belonging to 16 embassies and 14 consulates of the Republic of Kosovo, which are located in 19 different countries.

The total number of citizens registered to vote in the 30 diplomatic missions of the Republic of Kosovo is 20,324 voters.
