KFOR shows strength, joint exercise of Albanian and Italian soldiers

Italian and Albanian soldiers from the Regional Command-West (RC-W), together with Hungarian trainers from the KFOR Tactical Reserve Battalion (KTRB), conducted a Crowd and Riot Control and Firephobia Management exercise. This exercise is part of the ongoing efforts to maintain high operational readiness of NATO troops in Kosovo.

A key phase of the activity was carried out in close coordination with the Mobility Support Unit (MSD), testing the response to tense situations and the management of incendiary devices. The main goal of this treatment is to prepare the personnel to deal with fire threats in a careful and efficient manner, while maintaining self-control and full operational capability.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999, to contribute to a secure and stable environment for all communities in Kosovo.

Another essential aspect of KFOR's mission is to guarantee freedom of movement for all citizens, impartially and at all times.

KFOR works closely with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), which have specific roles as security forces. This cooperation helps to enhance security and stability in the region, ensuring that international and local forces are prepared for any challenge that may arise.
