The Foreign Ministry of Kosovo confirms: The person killed in Serbia is Faton

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora confirmed that the citizen of Kosovo, Faton Hajrizi, is the person who was killed by the Serbian authorities on July 19.

Through a press release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Serbian authorities on July 22 sent the fingerprints of a person to the Kosovo authorities and that the same fingerprints, together with Hajrizi's fingerprints, were sent for examination to the Kosovo Agency for Forensics.

"After the comparison, the Directorate of International Police Cooperation - ILECU of the Kosovo Police, has received an answer that these traces belong to the citizen reported as killed, Faton Hajrizi", it was said in the announcement.

Hajrizi, who escaped from a prison in Kosovo, according to Serbian authorities, killed a Serbian policeman and wounded another in the early hours of July 18 in Lloznica, a city in the western part of Serbia.
