Former Prime Minister of Kosovo, Bujar Bukoshi, passes away

Former Prime Minister of Kosovo, Bujar Bukoshi, has passed away at the age of 78. He had been suffering from a serious illness for a long time.

Bukoshi is survived by his wife, Dr. Zana Bukoshi, daughters Ora, Shota, Nita, and grandchildren Dardan and Taulant. Bujar Bukoshi was born on May 13, 1947 in Suhareka. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade. After returning to Kosovo, he worked as a doctor in Suhareka.

Bukoshi is one of the founders of the Democratic League of Kosovo. He was also Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo in the second Thaçi cabinet from 2011 to 2014.

Bujar Bukoshi was the Prime Minister of the Provisional Government of Kosovo in exile from 1991 to 2000.
