Serbia blocks the citizens of Kosovo, Kurti: Revenge after the vote in the

Prime Minister Albin Kurti has called the detention of over 300 citizens from Kosovo at the border on Wednesday a revenge by Serbia against the vote in favor of Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe.

The Serbian authorities have today stopped buses with passengers from Kosovo, at the borders with Croatia and Hungary.

"One day after the Parliamentary Assembly of Kosovo voted in favor of Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe, Serbia takes revenge against Kosovar civilians. Since this morning, over 300 of our citizens — including children — have been arbitrarily detained at the border, deprived of food and medicine. A serious violation of human rights!" , Kurt said.

Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kosovo asked the citizens not to pass through Serbia after the situation created at the border points in Serbia and the arbitrary stop of the citizens of Kosovo at the border crossings.
