The impasse continues, the constitution of the Assembly fails for the 35th time

The ninth legislature of the Assembly of Kosovo has failed to be constituted even in the 35th attempt in a row, due to the lack of sufficient votes to elect the president of this legislative institution.

Even today, the Vetëvendosje Movement did not have the numbers to change the voting form for the election of the Speaker of the Assembly to a secret ballot, while other parties, such as PDK, LDK, AAK and the Serbian List, have not proposed members for the Commission for a secret ballot.

The second largest party in the Assembly, the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), has continuously requested that the LVV change the candidate for Speaker of the Assembly, but, from his media statements so far, the acting Prime Minister and the leader of the Vetevendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, has said that there is no question of changing the candidate Albulena Haxhiu, blaming the opposition for blocking the constitution of the Assembly.

VV's nominee for this position continues to be Albulena Haxhiu.
