Vucic: Within 72 hours we will respond with serious measures against Kurt
After separate meetings with the EU's special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, and the US ambassador, Christopher Hill, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday that he would make a public speech within the next 72 hours. to announce Serbia's demands after what it called "a brutal attack on Serbs in Kosovo", especially in the north.
He noted that important and far-reaching proposals are expected to be presented to the Serbian parliament in October. "We will have many important meetings and we must fight for Serbia's position in the world and look for allies. We will do everything possible," he said.
Vucic said that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti wanted to "destroy and expel the Serbs" from Kosovo-Metohia and that this is clear to everyone - not only to Belgrade.
"When 5,800 jobs are cut and when, just because of Kurt's illegal, criminal and illegal decisions, people can no longer do anything that everyone can in the modern world, you have to take action that will lead to the return of some rights, what would be called the status quo," he said.
He said that only verbal punishments, and no evident action, have come from Europe and the Quint countries towards Kosovo. He said that Belgrade is always open to dialogue with Pristina and that he is ready to go to Brussels to continue the dialogue with Kurt. "Yes, Serbia is not ready and will not allow a massacre and deportation of its population", said Vucic. /Tanjug/
