The election process in Kosovo has been conducted in a calm atmosphere and without serious incidents, according to an official Kosovo Police announcement. The law enforcement agency stated that the operational plan for securing elections was successfully implemented throughout the country's territory.

"The operational plan foresned for the conduct of the electoral process, which aimed at providing security, order and public tranquility before, during and after the election process, was successfully implemented throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo," the police statement said.

According to reports, several cases of criminal offences were recorded during the voting day, but none of them influenced the electoral process. Specifically, kosovo police have initiated six cases, including four cases of a criminal nature from Chapter XVIII of the Criminal Code "Criminal Offences Against Voting Rights", as well as two other cases related to "Assault of official person & intimace".

In connection with these cases, seven persons were accompanied, of whom four were sent to the court on the order of the prosecutor, while three others were released in regular procedure.

"Kosovo Police have handled any information that has to do with the electoral process and have taken all measures to ensure the security and integrity of the elections," the statement said.

The police assess that the success of this operation has come as a result of inter-institutional cooperation, engagement of police officers and the high civic culture shown during the election process.
