I killed Olsi Ibro

1. I met Olsi Ibron once. He was a boy like many others, from what we call good boys, who apart from family work, I don't believe he had any other excesses.

I met him a few years ago, when a television program made him and his partners public figures, as an "extortion scheme" with microcredits. They came to complain that the show was deliberately constructed to disrupt their business, that the witness interviews were deliberately constructed out of context and that they were not even given the opportunity to express their views. They even told me that they had been asked for money not to broadcast that program. Everything they told me did not seem strange to me about Albania and the way a part of the media works. I told them to file an ethics complaint, but if the attack against them is organized, as they believed, that is a problem that can only be resolved in court.

The money issue I could not verify (it is essentially a problem for investigative bodies), but later I saw the program, which was clearly unprofessional. You can't accuse someone for an hour and not give them a chance to defend themselves. The accused party in that program was completely absent.

But, this is no longer noticeable, because this is the new standard of the Albanian media.

2. I myself was harassed years ago, first by a mobile company and then by a company that collected the debts of this mobile company. It was a new 3000 ALL, which the mobile company wrongly claimed I owed.

Also, years ago, 2 banks persecuted me as a family because of a credit card and the other because of an unpaid microloan.

The harassment from both banks continued for months, even with calls to the family.

Therefore, I understand all too well the stress of those who receive debt collection calls. Although, within the laws of the Albanian state, the operation of these companies is completely legal.

Albania has a big legal problem with bankruptcy. If you get a loan and cannot repay it, no law or institution protects you. Banks are omnipotent. Credit is a chain around your neck that you will wear forever.

Since we live in a banking dictatorship, it is clear to me why no Parliament reacts and why no media dares to talk about the credit system, let alone the Prosecutor's Office to stand up to protect the public interest.

3. In the last months, when the name of Olsi Ibros and his partners is again in the media, I have seen with sadness how in almost no article or news, the attitude of those who are accused is not reflected.

Shoh me trishtim sesi në disa portale periferikë mbijnë ca informacione krejt të paverifikuara, në artikuj pa emër gazetari poshtë, që dukshëm janë mbjellë aty me qëllim për të mbajtur flakën e urrejtjes ndezur ndaj “zhvatësve”.

Kam parë me trishtim sesi media shqiptare (o nga injoranca, o se janë pjesë e një loje tjetër) u vuri damkën e kriminelit, edhe pse Gjykata ka nevojë për muaj e vite që të gjykojë e të vendosë nëse ka krim apo jo. Në çdo vend të botës, edhe në këtë tonin, ti je fajtor vetëm pas një vendimi të gjykatës. Por jo. Media, ua ka vënë atyre vulën: ata janë “mashtruesit”, “skema e mashtrimit” me mikrokreditë.

Por nuk është vetëm media. Media e merr “ushqimin” të gatshëm dhe nuk ka kohë ta prëpunojë. Shoh deklarata të vagullta të Prokurorisë, që flasin “për vende misterioze ku mbaheshin dokumentat e mashtrimit”, e shumë çudira të tjera. Dukshëm, Prokuroria shpërndan materiale që ngjajnë si romane fiksion, e jo si punë profesionale.

4.Në dijeninë time, kompanitë e akuzuara për mikrokreditë i kanë fituar të tëra gjyqet, në gjykatat e Shtetit Shqiptar. Bëhet fjalë për dhjetëra gjyqe të fituara, e asnjë të humbur. Pra, në dhjetëra vendime, ata nuk janë hajdutë e as nuk kanë një skemë mashtrimi me mikrokreditë.

Po ky fakt, për median, nuk ka pikë rëndësie.

Por, ka për Olsi Ibron.

Kishte.

Sepse ai vrau veten.

Vetvrasja e tij, nuk është vetëvrasja e një fajtori.

Fajtorët, pra kriminelët e vërtetë të Shqipërisë, i shohim përditë sesi vendosin me “burrëri” të bëjnë ndonjë vit burg (për hatër të SPAK-ut) dhe pastaj të dalin e të shijojnë milionat. Ata që nuk e duan deal-in “bëj ndonjë vit bvurg o burrë, pastaj gëzo paratë”, zgjedhin t’i shijojnë milionat e grabitura nga postet publike në azil politik, ose në Dubai.

Olsi Ibro vrau veten sepse njerëz të zakonshëm, ata që kanë një zyrë e një biznes privat, dhe jo ata që bënë para me pronat publike, nuk mund ta përballojnë dot presionin e opinionit dhe masakrimin nga media. Djemtë e mirë nuk e përballojnë dot kur kuptojnë që e vërteta e tyre nuk do të dalë kurrë në dritë dhe vendimin që je “kriminel” ta kanë dhënë paraprakisht, pavarësisht që atë duhet ta japë vetëm gjykata.

Edhe në ditën që do varrosej, lajmi në media kishte vetëm 2 rreshta: rreshti 1: si e vrau veten – për të ngopur kuriozitetin pervers të publikut, rreshti 2: mos harroni, ky ishte një nga ata “mashtruesit” e “skemës së zhvatjes”.

5.Olsi Ibron e kam vrarë unë.

E kam vrarë, sepse dua të ndërtoj mekanizma për gazetari etike, që në këtë rast e plot të tjera, nuk arritën të funksionojnë. Edhe pas kaq vitesh që merrem me etikën në media, akoma, nuk kemi arritur tu mësojmë gazetarëve të papërgjegjshëm që dikush nuk është fajtor, mashtrues e kriminel pse ashtu thotë një Prokuror, a një polic, a një shef i yti. Fajtor përcaktohesh vetëm me vendim të prerë të gjykatës. Deri atëherë, ti je vetëm i dyshuar.

Olsi Ibron e vranë gazetarët.

E kanë vrarë gazetarët investigativë që nuk ndërtuan kurrë një raportim të balancuar dhe etik për këtë ngjarje.

They killed those journalists or editors or owners who agreed to publish disinformation news, as part of a denigration campaign.

They killed all those irresponsible journalists who bombarded the public with "microcredit fraudsters" to embellish their headlines.

Many have killed Olsi Ibro themselves.

All those who (I believe) organized and participated in a campaign of public discretization, which does not seem normal in a country like Albania, and where the same media pretends that the "5 D" scandal does not exist.

After many years, in Strasbourg, I will not be surprised if Olsi Ibro will be found innocent.

But this will not bring him to life.

And none of you will blush for the headlines you put in the newspapers all these months.

Now, whose turn is it to drive him to suicide?
