Princess Diana's 32 letters will be auctioned
The personal letters of the late Princess Diana once again reveal her grief over her divorce from Prince Charles. The same letters reveal how Diana thought she would never have divorced if she had known how desperate she would feel. Her letters will be sold for £90,000 and the proceeds will go to charity.
There are 32 cards and postcards for sale. Some of the most personal and confidential letters have been preserved. It is worth noting that her handwriting deteriorates towards the end of the letter. Meanwhile, the sale of the papers will take place on February 16 at Lay's Auctions in Penzance. Recently, a Victor Edelstein dress worn by Diana, Princess of Wales, sold for $604,800 at an auction at Sotheby's in New York.
The purple strapless evening dress worn by Diana to a royal party in 1991 was bought at The One curated auction. Sotheby's said the final bid was five times the pre-auction estimate of $80,000 to $120,000.
Please note that TV star Kim Kardashian has bought one of Princess Diana's favorite jewels at an auction. It is an amethyst cross that was created by jewelry designer Garrard in 1920. Princess Diana wore the cross on many of her public appearances, including a charity gala in London in October 1987.
