According to the Daily Mirror, Jane, who starred in the 1990s film Stanley and Iris alongside Robert De Niro, said it was a huge comeback, saying:

The biggest stroke of luck was landing the role in Monster-in-Law at a point in my career when I had been out of the acting business for 15 years or more. It was with Jennifer Lopez and it was a great comeback for me. I was almost 65 years old when I received this unclear script. It was the only career smart thing I ever did. I thought, 'People are going to come to the movies to see J.Lo, but they're going to rediscover Fonda,' and that's what happened.'

After starring in several other films, Fonda secured a lead role in the 2015 comedy series Grace and Frankie. Although the show ended earlier this year, Jane has no plans to retire just yet. Meanwhile, we recall that the famous actress has recently discovered her method to avoid depression.

She believes that training helps her a lot in this regard. The 84-year-old said that there is a lot of depression in her family, so she does everything she can to avoid it. In a recent interview for Vogue, she said:

I come from a long line of depressed people. One of the ways I avoid depression is through exercise. When I move, when I walk, when I exercise, depression goes away. That and being active are the two best anti-depression methods as far as I'm concerned. I mean, unless you have chronic depression, which is different.
