Now YouTube can now dub videos in more languages

YouTube introduced a new feature on Thursday for creators to dub their content into other languages, allowing viewers around the globe to consume more content. The multilingual audio feature has already been tested by one of the platform's biggest stars, MrBeast. YouTube product manager Ritz Campbell wrote in a post:

"Because its content is so vast, over the past year we've asked MrBeast and a small group of creators to help our team test a new feature that allows creators to add multilingual audio to videos theirs. MrBeast has already dubbed some of his most popular videos into 11 languages and hopes to bring more international viewers to his main channel through the feature. Whether it's chess lessons, a historical documentary on Rome, or an investigative series for ghost hunting in Italy, we look forward to our creators continuing to use this feature in their content and for our viewers to discover videos from international channels."

In an interview with YouTube creator liaison Rene Ritchie, MrBeast said that the ability to dub videos, rather than creating multiple separate channels that exist only to offer his content in other languages, simplifies his workflow of work. MrBeast said the new feature not only helps content creators improve their workflow, but also helps viewers and followers around the world find the content they're looking for in one place.

"Having a lot of different channels is honestly a lot more work. It's a lot easier to have them all in one central place. Whether you're in Mexico, you're in Brazil, you're in India, all the dubbing is in one place, in a video. So it's a lot easier for people to understand."
