Zelensky responds to Elon Musk: Come to Ukraine and then tell us who started it and when it will end
"Come to Ukraine and see what Russia has done. And then tell me how to end this war, who started it and when it can end."
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has openly challenged Elon Musk after his recent Twitter polls and statements on how to end the war in Ukraine. Zelensky repeated his criticism of the American billionaire during a video conference for the New York Times.
"I think that either someone has an influence on him or he is drawing his own conclusions," the Ukrainian president said.
Musk created controversy in October after he shared suggestions for war negotiations in Ukraine in a Twitter poll. Musk had proposed that Crimea remain part of Russia and that UN-supervised referendums be held in four regions of southern Ukraine.
He also said that Ukraine should "remain neutral", and in subsequent tweets said that "a victory for Ukraine is unlikely to happen".
