The incident with Osmani, the prime minister of RMV: Next time I will personally wait for the president
The Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Hristijan Mickoski, has commented on the incident that happened at the Skopje Airport with the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, whose phone was attempted to be taken.
Mickoski, in a conference with Albin Kurti, said that he does not want such incidents to be repeated and that the two countries have good bilateral relations.
Mickoski said that next time he will personally wait for Osman at the Skopje Airport, "until the moment he leaves".
Kurti said that the meeting with the Macedonian counterpart was "open, honest and serious".
Kurti's visit to North Macedonia took place when the relations between the two countries have deteriorated due to an incident on August 1 at the Skopje Airport, which involved the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani.
The Kosovar Presidency has claimed that a member of the Skopje Airport security tried to take President Osmani's personal phone, in violation of international practices and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
Then, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo sent a note of protest to North Macedonia, asking for clarification and investigation of the case.
