EU Already Funding Some Projects Mentioned in the Washington Documents, EU

Many projects mentioned in the documents signed at the meeting of representatives of Serbia and Kosovo in Washington are already included in the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF), Ana Pisonero, spokesperson of the European Commission (EC) competent for enlargement has said on Wednesday.

Reacting to the announced plans for traffic infrastructure between Belgrade and Pristina through a package of American financial support worth 3.7 billion euros, she told Radio Free Europe that the EU has provided “technical assistance for the entire peace highway and has already approved investments for the first section of the freeway between Serbia and Kosovo”.
