Kosovars Can Travel Visa-Free as Much as North Koreans

Kosovars can travel without visas only to one country more than the citizens of North Korea, according to Henley Passport Index's which measures the world's most travel-friendly passports, KTV reports. K

Kosovo is ranked 198th out of 209 countries in the world that have been measured in terms of access to other countries without visas. Ranked besides North Korea, Sudan, Syria and Iraq, Kosovars can travel to 40 countries around the world without needing a visa, while the Japanese are ranked first, as they can travel to 191 countries without a visa.

Kosovo institutional leaders have pledged almost every year that Kosovo citizens would soon be able to travel without visas. But Kosovo has not yet been granted visa liberalization. Moreover, the European Union, which has revised its visa payment rules for all member states, had decided last year for the visa application fee from 2 February to rise to 80 euros.
