Kosovo Threatens Albania with Raising Duties on Imported Goods

Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Tirana Nikolin Jaka said that Pristina has announced that, if Albania fails to lift the obstacles for unhindered export of flour, beer and potato from Kosovo within the next two months, it will raise custom duties on Albanian products by 100 percent, news agency Tanjug reports quoting Pristina portal Gazeta Ekspres.

        This development occurred at a meeting on trade relief held on Tuesday.

Jaka said that the Albanian government only vaguely engaged in granting preferential treatment to Pristina on the export of certain products to Albania and that Kosovo has allegedly lost patience.
