Kosovo’s Ambassador to the USA Recalled

President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, on Tuesday, signed a decree on the withdrawal of his long-term associate, Ambassador Vlora Citaku, from the mission in the United States, the local daily Gazeta Express reported.

Citaku will return to Kosovo after five years in Washington D.C., where she will stay until a new ambassador is appointed.

The media write that Citaku is a kind of casualty of the conflict, but also of the agreement between the strongest parliamentary force - the Self-Determination (Vetevendosje!) movement - and President Thaci and his followers and associates.
