New Kosovo Government Formed, Two Ministers from Serb List

The Kosovo Parliament on Monday voted in a new government, headed by the leader of the Self-Determination (Vetevendosje) movement, AlbinKurti, after negotiations of the two strongest parties in Kosovo that had lasted since the first half of October were successfully completed the day before.

The new government will have a total of 15 ministers, six from Vetevendosje and the Democratic Alliance of Kosovo (LDK) each, two from the Serb List and one from the Bosniak people.

Two ministers are the members of the Serb List: DaliborJevtic was elected Minister of Communities and Returns and Ivan Milojevic will be in charge of regional development.

MPs from the Serb List attended the session at which the new government was formed, however, they did not vote in favor of it, but abstained, although two of their members were elected ministers.

Before the vote, the MPs from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) - who dominated in the attacks on Kurti and the new government - left the session.
