North Macedonia Approves a Five-Hour Transit for Tourists Travelling to Greece

The government of North Macedonia approved the transit of tourists through this country and a decision about this would be in power on Monday. On Monday, Greece would also open its borders to Serbian citizens, the media reported.

A protocol on the passage of foreign citizens prescribed that the transit could last no more than five hours. The transit would include entrance through one border crossing and exit on the other with an obligation not to leave the appropriate highway or local road and to be realized within five hours.

The foreign citizens at the entrance to North Macedonia would sign a statement that they would follow these rules, which should be given to police at the exit due to control of the duration of the transit.

A limited time of passage would be valid until the complete liberalization, and the foreigners would be able to use border crossings in Tabanovce, Deve Bair, Bogorodica, Cafasan, Blace, and Skopje International Airport.

Just one border crossing Bogorodica – Evzonoi would be open towards Greece.
