PM Rama Considers Initiative Important both to Albania and Kosovo

 Rama stated ahead of the summit in Tirana that he supports the regional “mini Schengen” because of Albania and Kosovo, and all Albanians, and not because of Serbia.

He said that Kosovo doesn’t gain anything by refusing to take part in the liberalization within the regional initiative and that such stances are the result of internal politics, which he considers “a dead end for Kosovo.”

Edita Tahiri, former head of Pristina’s negotiating with Belgrade, stated on Sunday that Rama doesn’t understand that the “mini Schengen” initiative is actually the basis for creating “Greater Serbia”.

The leading parties in the Kosovo area also against the creation of the “mini Schengen” and the Self-Determination movement held a small protest in Tirana in connection with the summit, including banners against Vucic.
